17th – 24th April 2021

Week 27 of the Alphonse Season welcomed 10 very fortunate anglers who were treated to a brilliant week of fishing on Alphonse and St Francois. Anglers were able to fish a neap tide and enjoy some brilliant weather over the week. The bonefishing was extremely good. Anglers managed to land 237 bonefish over the week with Patsy Daughters landing the fish of the week measuring a massive 65 cm.

Day one was off to a great start for Cash Daughters, Cash landed his first GT on fly measuring 60 cm. Day three was a good day for Chris Welsh. Chris landed a slam consisting of two yellowmargin triggerfish, a 54 cm GT and a brilliant 54 cm bonefish. Chris Welsh went on to land another slam on day six before 9:00 AM. Chris landed a 56 cm yellowmargin, a 64 cm GT and five bonefish.
Day six was a good day all around. Chris Daughters landed two GTs measuring 84 cm and 64 cm and Pete Scott managed to land two beautiful moustache triggerfish measuring 38 cm and 51cm.

Another fantastic week was spent at Alphonse Island fishing the St Francois Atoll. Memories were made and bonds were formed that will last a lifetime. Stay tuned for next week’s report as we are sure you won’t want to miss it.
