We have some exciting news that we would like to share with all our sea anglers that travel with us to Norway and especially Å on the Lofoten islands. Many of you know just how popular this destination is in Norway and dates sell out so far in advance that we were left with no option apart from to expand.
This led to, in conjunction with Nordic Sea Angling, the expansion of our most popular destination and we are now pleased to be able to offer you Lofoten Rorbu Hotel, which is located in Sörvågen, only a few minutes by boat from Å.
Here we have started a new partnership where we will place 3 Arronetboats and the Guideboat for the season 2021.
This means that we will increase our capacity overall by 2 boats for next season in the area.
At the camp in Sörvågen, we offer accommodation in cabins of charming North American style. Here are both 2-bed cabins and 4-bed cabins to offer and the cabins are cosily located in the weather-protected harbour with the boats moored just below.
Our 4-bed cabins have two bedrooms with two beds per room, a toilet with shower and a larger living room with sofa, kitchen area and dining table where you can enjoy good dinners and something good to drink in the evening after finishing fishing.
Our 2-bed cabins will mainly be used for the guide boat where it is often joined by fewer people who book but can also be used by a group of 3-4 people who reserve.
These are adjacent to each other with a door between so that you can easily pass and hang out if you wish, but if you wish, a secluded atmosphere, this door can be kept closed.
Each 2-bed cabin has a separate bedroom and a living room with fully equipped kitchen and toilet and shower. In other words, you live 2 people per cabin but have the opportunity to eat together and hang out if you are a company of 3-4 people, which we know is important for the overall experience.
Next to the cabins there is also a restaurant that is very popular and offers food of the highest quality in a very nice atmosphere overlooking the sea. This is well-visited during the season by both fishermen and passers-by tourists and has quickly created a very good reputation and offers an exciting menu and large drink range.
At the dock there is the opportunity to fillet their fish and freezer room and drying rooms are just in connection with the cabins. At the camp there is also a fishing shop where you can buy necessary baits, hooks and accessories and rent both floating overall and fishing gear if you wish. On site there are guides that offer the highest possible service.
The proximity to the grocery store in Sörvågen entails the opportunity to walk instead of taking the car if you wish, but there is obviously a car for lending if you wish. With only a few minutes longer boat trip, the distance is basically the same and you reach the same hot fishing places that we normally fish from when we start from Å.
Cabins and location will be allocated upon arrival, the services at both locations are exactly the same. Sörvågen is the next village up from Å so distance to fishing grounds is virtually the same. The onsite guides will be on hand as usual. This move is to cope with the demand as you will notice this location is one of the best for huge Halibut.
So if you have been looking at booking a trip to the end of the Lofoten islands now could well be your chance. If you would like to speak to us about this location or any other holidays we offer then call the office on 01603 407596 as we are always happy to help.
