Additional Information

Astove has taken the GT fishing to the next level due to its incredible results. In one week a group landed 92 GTs with a staggering 12 of them measuring over the magical 100 cm mark. It’s not just huge GT’s Astove is good for, there’s also Bonefish, Permit, Barracuda, Milkfish, Bluefin Trevally, Triggerfish, plus offshore species like Yellowfin Tuna, Dogtooth Tuna, Wahoo, Sailfish and Marlin.

Alphonse Island is considered one of the most desirable saltwater destinations in the world. It is a paradise for fly fishing anglers due to its pristine waters and exceptional variety of saltwater species. The majority of the fishing will involve wading the firm white sandy flats which are interlaced with channels leading to the perimeter reef. This diverse fishery enables you to catch up to 60 different species on the fly including three species of Triggerfish, seven species of Trevally, Milkfish, Barracuda, Sailfish, Dogtooth Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna and a plethora of other flats and offshore species.

Another phenomenal saltwater fishing adventure is Cosmoledo Atoll. As the only operation on or around Cosmoledo, this pristine destination has quickly become known as one of the finest Giant Trevally destinations in the world. Our fishing is off Wizard Island at the new Cosmoledo Eco Lodge. This exciting program will accommodate only 12 anglers per week all supported by world-class professional fly fishing guides who have amassed a very considerable amount of hard-earned experience fishing the waters of the Indian Ocean. The fishing is by no means limited to the atoll. The surrounding waters are equally prolific with everything including Sailfish, Wahoo, Dogtooth Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Barracuda and Bluefin Trevally. These can be teased to the surface on fly-rods and tackled with poppers and lures.
