Bolivia opens its doors to anglers from around the world
The last eight months with minimal fishing have been very challenging for all of us. Many destinations had to close or restrict numbers as they tried to survive this Covid storm. One such operation was Tsimane in Bolivia. To protect the indigenous people, the national parks where closed and all fishing postponed.
In total, 340 customers booked for 2021 were moved to either 2021 or 2022 whichever suited the customers the best.
However, with the continued support of all customers booked by donating a small rebooking fee Tsimane was able to continue to support the Indigenous tribes with health and subsistence needs of the natives.
Over the last eight months, Tsimane were able to bring the tribes a great deal of medicine, Covid-19 tests, non-perishable food, fuel, and more. They were also able to provide essential resources for the national park rangers to help with their efforts of working to protect the environment.
This has been a powerful example achieved through collaboration, and it could only happen because of caring customers understanding and support. We are proud of you all and proud to be part of this organization.
Due to this support and improvement of Covid-19 cases have which have been decreasing for the last two months. We are pleased to announce that the borders, international airports, and hotels are now open.
Plus the Environment Ministry and the National Service of Protected Areas has now authorized the opening of the national park for tourism. This great news means we can start to return to fishing safely again for 2021.
Of course, there will be biosafety protocols to be followed, but practically you only need to have a PCR test with a negative result obtained less than seven days before entering the national park.
If you would like to join us on our hosted weeks in 2021 or any available dates remaining for the 2021 season, please get in touch with our offices, and they will only be pleased to help. Alternatively, you can see all our Bolivia destinations on the links below.
