King Of The Catch Winners Return From Spain and what an awesome weeks fishing Father and Son duo just had over in Spain fishing the famous River Ebro, smashing their previous PB’s for both Carp and Catfish.

In September 2016 Son Reece, won the King of The Catch Competition for a photo he submitted which saw him win two places on our Carp and Catfish trip to Spain. Being a young lad who better to ask to accompany him than his best friend, his Dad.

When all the winners had been drawn for King Of The Catch we were asked to go to the presentation to gift the winners their tickets and Sportquest Holidays merchandise. This is where I had the pleasure of meeting Reece and his Father Matthew and could tell that he was a little nervous about the trip ahead of him but on the other hand he was excited.

Their trip soon came round and they were on their way to the mecca of Catfishing, the River Ebro in Spain. I had spoken to the guides in Spain making sure that they kept me up to date with how their trips was going and by the sounds of the little reports they were having a ball and catching lots of huge Catfish.

Once the trip had finished and the guys were on their way home they kindly emailed me to thank us for such a brilliant trip and commented it was the best fishing week of their lives. They also sent us tons of fantastic pictures and by the looks of them, they had such a great time together.

It is always very nice to see when a Father and Son go away, as we strongly believe that a fishing holiday for a Father and Son is a great way of bonding as it is just Dad and Son with no other distractions, a perfect blend of prime family time.
