The traditional Christmas and end of the year pause is getting near. Fly-in floating cabins are being positioned to make the mid-season maintenance procedures to get ready for a very fresh start next January. Weather forecast for the camp fishing at the Homero lakes looks promising for the rest of the week.
Homero River Fly-in Floating cabins with fair weather during the last weekend. Last week´s totalled 1.362 landed peacocks and the largest weighing 16 lbs. This week´s group started with a promising 386 fish count with a 15lbs. one to show. Good fishing conditions make us think that this group will enjoy an excellent fishing week.
Weather forecast for Carvoeiro looks promising with very little rain for the rest of the week. We expect water levels to keep on improving.
Peacock Bass Fishing Brazil Homero River Fly-in Floating cabins with fair weather during the last weekend. Last week´s totalled 933 landed peacocks with 49 over the 10lbs mark and the largest weighing 16 lbs. This week´s group starts with a 369 fish count and an excellent forecast for the next days.
Lower Xeruini private fishery presented good fishing conditions with water level at jungle level. Anglers landed 162 peacocks with the largest weighing 14lbs. Last week´s group landed 1043 peacocks and the largest weighed 18lbs. According to the rainfall graphics, past and future, water levels are expected to improve significantly on the coming days.
The other camps are being repositioned in better water levels.
Weather forecast for Barcelos is quite promising with very little rain for the rest of the week. We expect water levels to keep on improving. (Pls. check graphs below)
Lower Xeruini private fishery presented excellent fishing conditions with a mid water level. Anglers landed 438 peacocks with the largest weighing 18lbs.. Week looks promising for this group.
The upper Xeruini group enjoyed also fair weather during the weekend but water levels are high due to heavy rain episodes last week on the head waters. This small group nevertheless landed 93 peacocks the last 2 ½ days.
Lower Jufaris anglers fishing at this private fishery landed 77 peacocks with the largest one weighing 11lbs. This group started fishing on Sunday. No rain to report at this location also, water levels are stable at jungle level
Upper Jufaris fishery this week received a small party of 4 anglers that only fish in the morning. They have landed 32 peacocks in the last two mornings and they also suffered some heavy rain episodes last weekend.
