Norway Fishing Report Its the second week at our lodge in Soroya in Northern Norway, and the second group of customers have already landed some real nice fish! With fish of 29kg and 32kg in the first couple of day… we wonder what the rest of the Norway Fishing Report will bring, let alone the rest of the season may produce!
The new group of anglers fished yesterday and found that the Cod were deeper down in the water than they had been the previous few days, so the largest of the big bob shads were deployed and they produced some excellent results. The top rod on the boat landed 14 Cod with the biggest being a huge 32kg specimen! The lodge owner reminded us that the start of this season has been absolutely crazy, and that its not a simple as to just drop down and catch 25kg+ fish, he said if you work hard at your fishing and set sensible expectations then you will not be disappointed.
Soroya is world famous for producing record sized Cod and nots just the Cod that make this place in Norway so Special. The Halibut fishing in the summer months is something to consider. In other Norway Fishing Report you will see the goods caught by so many who visit this Island in Norway.
