Deep Creek Lodge September and October Report has just been sent to us from our Salmon Lodge in Canada the Deep Creek Lodge and by the looks of things the end of the season has finished with some great results. Now the camp is starting to shut down for winter this will be last report from these guys until next year. I will let you read their report:
Loaded with endurance and patience our guests were highly rewarded with many nice sized 10lb northern Coho. By the end of September temperature and water were at reasonable level and eventually our finned friends became more active. Guest caught Steelhead and Coho right to the end of October
Blue fox silver spinner or chartreuse-black jigs were the best lure to cast meanwhile big pink flies were the best choice for fly fishermen.
New encounters and old friends visited us at the lodge yet another exciting season is gone.
The first snow already whitens the tops of the mountains and soon it will fall on the lodge too. It is time to clean and store all the fishing gear and to prepare for the wintertime.
That’s all folks see you next year for another season to pass together at the Deep Creek Lodge
