Big Game Fishing Report is delighted to extend our hosted trips to this fantastic destination in Costa Rica fishing for such fish as Marlin, Sailfish, Roosters and the wonderfully acrobatic Dorado that are in abundance around Costa Rica.

Big Game Fishing Report of releasing a huge Sailfish

This is a very exclusive trip and is based on a small group of anglers plus our very own host, Paul Stevens. Paul has been big game fishing all over the world from Africa to Mauritius and has a few bill fish under his belt, so if you have for a long time been wanting to go big game fishing but struggled to find other friends to travel with then now is the perfect time to join us, but remember this is limited to just a few places so act quickly. Big Game Fishing Report

We have based the trip on the Strike 33ft big game boats for fishing offshore and in-shore so the angler will have plenty of room and lots of chances at striking fish. These boats are fish catching machines and come equipped with everything to help you target those dream fish. The boat will have a skipper and deck hand on-board plus our guide to help you achieve your targets and of course take those all important trophy shots. This really is the perfect trip to join even if you have never done this style of fishing before or you are a seasoned angler our guide and deck hands will make your dreams come true.

The fishing is divided into two main areas; inshore and offshore with a variety of fishing options such as: live bait, trolling, surface poppers, jigging, and fly-fishing. For Inshore the species most sought after is the Roosterfish. 25lb to 50lb fish are very common with fish over 50lb caught each week. Offshore Sailfish are the main target; these fish are available year round and a half dozen are common any day. From November to May the numbers increase and days of 12 fish or more are common. Other species available are Marlin, Tuna, Dorado, Jacks, and Amberjacks.

I am normally a bit cautious about group / hosted trips prefering to travel on my own but this lodge in Costa Rica has been on my “to do list” for an early year trip. When you have some dates / prices please give me a ring.
