Home of The GT’s Fishing Report As you may of heard Sri Lanka is fast becoming THE best place to get yourself a very big GT and it’s not just the size that Sri Lanka is becoming well known for it’s the amount you get.
We have a father and son out there this week and it looks like it is set to be an amazing trip for them. We did hear from them on day 1 and they were finding some very good GT’s, the fathers biggest that day was 35kilo and the sons biggest so far was 45kilo… What a start
Also there are guests from around the World also taking advantage of the great fishing on offer, Jason and Nick from Singapore had a great start but slowed down towards the last day when the wind really picked up but in-between they had some unbelievable fishing with an estimated 30 kg plus GT landed on a jig on a genuine PE 2 setup with 50lb leader and the usual suspects of hook pulls, bust offs and no hook up!! All in all a very interesting week with some of the guys again breaking their personal bests
With the popper action tapering off with the increasing winds they decided to try jigging on one of the boats and had some amazing sessions with one session producing 21 GT’s on the boat not counting missed ones or other species, the tally for the day was an incredible 47 strikes and one fabled 30+ kg on PE 2.
As the season draws to a close, we have had some fantastic reports from Sri Lanka and we have also managed to secure some great dates for next season that starts October 2014, so if you would like to experience the superb fishing in Sri Lanka for yourselves then don’t hesitate to call me on 01603 407596 and we can put together a fantastic popper fishing holiday that you will never forget

Ive spent the last 6 months here and its a fantastic country, the people very freindly and welcoming and if you want a bit of site seeing there is everything from wildlife at Yala to ancient monuments all over. The East coast beaches are sensational and the curries are probably the best in the world. All this and superb fishing, what more could you ask for?
We totally agree Peter, it is a stunning part of the World with fishing to match
That’s my kind of destination. Might have to put a trip together for this one.
