Mexico Stripe Marling Fishing report

Mexico Stripe Marlin Fishing Report

Mexico Stripe Marlin Fishing Report It is looking like the best month ever for Stripe Marlin fishing in our resort in Mexico, Palma De Cortez. As I write this report on Friday afternoon I was informed that the winds offshore have once again kicked up which is making for some rough conditions.

That being said we are still seeing some decent fishing.  Yesterday i heard about a nice 50lb Dorado come to the dock, followed by a nice 43lb Dorado.  The tuna have been tough to find with only a few landed this week and all under 30lbs.  Stripe Marlin and Blue Marlin have been steady with a few boats experiencing multiple hook-ups each day.  The Roosters have been holding as well inshore with a few nice Roosters being landed early in the week.

We have had a big competition taking place at the Palma De Cortez all of last week with huge success. The Tournament Anglers Association 2014 Marlin Tournament at Hotel Palmas De Cortez saw 24 anglers fishing from 12 boats over three days, they caught and released 90 Striped Marlin, 2 Sailfish and 1 Blue Marlin.  The group also landed a couple of nice Dorado that came in at over 40lbs

As you can read from above, June is a very prolific month and we are already taking many bookings for June 2015, so if you don’t want to miss out on one of the best Big Game destinations at peak times, then simply give me a call on the number below 01603 407596

We have been inundated with requests from single anglers for this destination so a month ago we decided to put on our very own Hosted trip to Mexico targeting Marlin and all the rest of the Game species and to our surprise this filled up with in 3 weeks of releasing the dates…… that’s 6 people plus myself. We are now thinking about taking a bigger group than just 6, so if you are interested in joining me then simply get in touch and before you know it you may be sitting on one of these well equipped Game boats doing battle with a fish of a life time.
