Amazing Mexico Big Game Fishing Report I just love it when everything comes together as what an amazing season our fishing down in Mexico is proving to be. We have this year record numbers booked in and already bookings for 2015 are looking as hot as the fishing. This last week the famous Sea of Cortez has come on fire and there are a lot of happy anglers at our resorts this week.
The variety of species being caught for this time of year is amazing. We started the week off with Neil and his father Ken landing a 150lb yellowfin tuna on board the El Regalo with Captain Arturo. Then came the billfish, with many boats in the fleet able to land multiple billfish per day. The best on the billfish this week were Mi Pistola with Captain Danny and deckhand Stefan. They landed a total of 34 billfish over 6 days along with tuna and dorado. We are also seeing lots of Jack Cravalle in shore and around the dock area.
We also saw the first 2 blue marlin of the season, the first was landed on the Kahlua, which was estimated at 300lbs. and the second one was on the J&B which went a little over 200lbs. Other anglers this week landed roosterfish, pompano, pargo, wahoo, and various jacks. Some of our other noteworthy boat days go to “Tenacious” with 9 tuna and 3 billfish and then landed 2 nice dorado right where the boats are anchored, “Mi Pistola” with 10 billfish and 6 tuna, “J&B” with 8 tuna, 2 dorado and a wahoo. It doesn’t get much better than that for a day of fishing!
We will keep you regularly updated but if you have ever wanted to join in the action but have no one to travel with? Check out our hosted weeks for 2015 as these trips have been put together especially for you. I hope to see you soon out on the Sea of Cortez.

One of my personal favourite places to fish, I have many found memories about this place, catching so many sailfish, strips and my very very first blue marlin…. too many year ago now tho. Note to oneself must get back there soon 🙂
I have to find a way to go on this trip, it looks amazing the number and size of the fish. I’ve yet to catch most of these species so it would a string of personal best fish. Another one for the ever increasing bucket list.
Arrr those bucket lists, they keep growing bigger but we all get less time each day 🙁
I agree with Mr Spice, A place that has it all.
