Rio Marié Lodge Fishing Report – 12th September To 19th September 2021
Despite only being week two of the season, the fishing at Rio Marie Lodge has been very productive, with plenty of nice Peacock and Butterfly Bass landed amongst all anglers.
Rio Marié Lodge – 12/09/2021 to 19/09/2021
Weather: Our week has been very warm, with only a few showers and the odd overcast day.
Temperatures: The temperatures have varied between 25 and 32ºC.
River Conditions: The water has been dropping but not as quickly as last week. The water temperature of Igarapé was by no means warm, but the river will keep going in that direction soon.
Fishing Conditions: The fishing conditions have been excellent, especially at the start of the week when we started fishing the lower part of the Marie. Later, we explored the middle section with our fantastic group – two experienced anglers and six beginners. It was a great mix of seasoned and new anglers who were ready to learn and truly live the Marie experience!
Number of Anglers: 8 from Brazil
Butterflies caught: 150
Peacock Bass Caught: 81
Peacock Bass Over 10lbs: 20
Peacock Bass Over 15lbs: 8
Peacock Bass Over 20lbs: 1
Highlight of the Week: This week, Alex Puten finished the week with an excellent average of Peacocks per day and the largest measuring at 22lbs! No less important are our new fishermen who managed to test their strength and capture some Peacocks of their own! Awesome work guys!
