Sockeye Salmon Fly Fishing Holidays

Sockeye Salmon, when fresh from the ocean, have a stunning silvery colour, however, once they have been in freshwater for a few days, they start to turn red in colour, eventually becoming bright red with dark green heads. When still fresh, these Sockeye Salmon are a big favourite for fly fishing anglers. They tend to run in the thousands and as such provide non-stop action for fly fishing anglers. On most of our destinations these fish tend to average around 8 to 10lbs, but for their size these fish fight very hard.
