Wow What A Day Norway Fishing Report
Norway Fishing Report Wow what a day….
After loosing Sunday due to bad weather everyone was keen as mustard to get out on the water and experience the huge Cod this destination is famous for and they were not disappointed and it lived up to all my previous Norway Fishing Report.
Alarms were set for 6am to be on the water by 8am (everyone was actually on the boats by 7:30) and off we set. We were travelling around 30 minutes to a mark that has always been very good in the past and as soon as we arrived we could see massive shoals of feeding Cod on the fish finder.
So with the boat set for the first drift of the day everything looked great, sun shinning, stunning scenery and a great group of guys on board. David Gatehouse was the first to be on the money, to what turned out to be a very good fish. 5 minutes later he was staring at his first 20 kilo fish, what a start to the day.
The rest of the day pretty much carried on the same way with many 20kilo plus fish landed that we just lost count; yes we did lose count more 40lb fish than anyone could remember. We all agreed that between just four anglers in the boat we had well over 20 20kilo fish and untold numbers of fish between 10 and 20 kilo, but it gets even better. Around lunchtime David Gatehouse latched in to what looked like a very big fish, with lots of grunting, groaning and impressive runs eventually up popped an absolutely massive cod. This was in a different league to the others this I knew was what we all had travelled all the way here for. Once we carefully lifted her aboard our boat and unhooked her we carefully weighed this great fish and the needle went round to a 31kilo……… or 68.2lb making one very happy fisherman.
After a few pictures she was safely returned with a huge cheer from everyone on the boat. As you would expect David was over the moon as you can see by the pictures in this Norway Fishing Report it was a fish of a lifetime.
Lets see what tomorrow brings. I will try and keep my Norway Fishing Report up to date
So until my next Norway Fishing Report, tight lines and I hope to guide you out here one day
