For those who have never undertaken a dove shooting trip in Cordoba, it is an experience which must rank as a ‘must-do’ in any keen shot’s ‘list of things to do before you die’. Quite apart from the sheer volume of doves in Cordoba, the variety of the shooting is staggering. Birds fly simultaneously in almost every direction, breaking, banking and swirling with many at heights that will test even the most expert of shots. The birds fly literally in waves, darkening the skies and whether you wish to focus on sheer numbers or go for the most challenging shots the options are yours.

Shooting
The Shooting in Cordoba is considered the dove shooting capital of the world. Ideal for large group (up to 15 guests), couples, and corporate trips—expect great value without sacrificing comfort. This destination is ideal for either the less experienced or the more seasoned gun, having opportunities to shoot different areas plays to the hunters advantage. What’s more enticing about shooting in Argentina is that with us you can travel as a single gun or take a loved one who doesn’t shoot and not worry about them having nothing to do.
The 100 square mile radius (160 km) around the lodge is annually inhabited by over 40.000.000 million doves and with more than 250,000 acres of land means that you will hunt a mixture of steep hills, sunflower fields, creeks beds, and sorghum plots so you can enjoy variety and quality hunting year round. The lodge enjoys 55 shooting fields in total which makes for a scenic drive to the hunting grounds. Each day hunters leave the pastoral setting and move to the hills and fields where doves fly in spectacular numbers, the lodge donates hundreds of doves to local communities in the area.
The program generally starts at 8:00 AM with a hearty breakfast and short drive to the shoot. In the field, you will be assigned a pick-up boy, who will provide you with shells and refreshments and direct you to your shooting stand. Depending on the time of the year you will shoot till noon when you will be treated to an incredible barbecue lunch, shaded by a comfortable safari tent, tasting some of Argentina’s wonderful beef and superb wines. The afternoon begins at around 2 or 2:30pm and continues until almost dark. There is no quitting time as your energy levels will usually dictate when you will finish. You will return to the lodge for cocktails and an early dinner where there will be time to sit back and relax and be catered to all evening.
Additional Activities
Additional trips can be arranged to San Telmo Market, La Boca neighbourhood and stadium, Tango show, Colón Theatre, and Plaza de Mayo. In the evenings, this “City which never sleeps” is open for concerts, shows, cinemas, casinos, clubs, coffee shops, and pubs. There is much to enjoy for all types of interests.
