Many people ask what the difference is between a hosted holiday and travelling alone. We will explain the difference between the two holidays. Many fishing holidays are based on 2 or 4 people sharing accommodation, transfers and a fishing boat, so if you drop this amount of people, there will be supplements to pay to have the same package but less people. By joining one of our hosted trips, you do not need to worry about finding anyone to travel with as we put the groups together, meaning you pay your share and are not hit with single angler supplements.
The simple answer is yes. These holidays are a great way of meeting like-minded anglers, and in the past, anglers have formed life-lasting friendships with fellow travellers. We arrange for the group to meet up at the departure airport and is a good way of meeting the group.
Yes it is possible you can even fill the hosted trip up with a group of friends. We do not restrict bookings to just single anglers on the hosted trip and it is sometimes possible to increase the size of the hosted trip to accommodate more anglers if needed.
As a rule of thumb, the answer is yes. It is always possible to upgrade to have single rooms, but you need to let one of the Sportquest teams know when you book your holiday. There will normally be a supplement to pay but normally it can be arranged
We have anglers from across the globe that travel with Sportquest. Please enquire with the team regarding alternative departure airports at the time of booking as we can book flights from anywhere in the world.
Adding extra days at the end of your stay is possible, and many anglers like to do this so they can have a couple of days relaxing. When making your booking, discuss with one of our team and explain what you would like to do.
We are fully aware that people prefer to travel from their local airports, so all you need to do is speak to one of our team and request your local airport. We will do whatever we can to offer you your requested airport. There may be some extra cost involved but we will give you options.
There are many benefits of joining a Sportquest hosted trip such as; having a one point contact before, during and after the trip, having someone to help navigate the airports, the host has a vast amount of knowledge of the style of fishing and will help advise on recommended tackle to take if needed and having someone there to take your trophy shots so you can show all your friends and family when you return home.
