Images of large Cod make you want to fish in places such as Norway and Iceland? People battling with super-sized Halibut floats your boat? Then you have come to the right place. Sportquest Holidays have been running fully Guided Sea Fishing Holidays to North Norway for more than 12 years, and each year our groups and trips grow larger and larger. We have an excellent customer return rate which makes us realise that we are doing something right.
We started back our Guided Sea Fishing Holidays in 2008 with just one week per year, taking seven people, now, we run over 20 weeks that are fully hosted, and spaces have to be booked well in advance to avoid disappointment. Each week we have eight spaces for either single anglers to join or small groups who prefer to fish with a host.
The difference between hosted sea fishing holidays and self-drive is getting a host/guide to drive your boat. The host or guide has been fishing the waters around northern Norway for many years and knows the waters very well. Their fishing knowledge is a massive help in fish locating, rig tying, fish, and taking great pictures. You will benefit from their years of knowledge of both travel and fishing, which will leave you in the very best of hands. So if you are looking for your next sea fishing adventure and want to be taken care of, book your place on one of Sportquest Holidays Fully Hosted Sea Fishing Holidays.

"Great location with fantastic accommodation and 'away from it all' setting. Good fishing grounds with some limitations in adverse weather - Huge potential in Calmer conditions for Halibut, Cod and Coalfish. The guide Marcus is fantastic. Limited by being a one man operation on site. Recommend Blackout blinds to improve lodges during 24 hour daylight. Self catering welcome packs. Recommend a 'basket' of Bread, Eggs, Milk, Cheese etc. Location/fishing grounds/guides. Please send in advance to allow initial planning for the trip. (Nordic do this) As usual, Minor points as the overall package is very good."
"This being my first trip with you guys i will from now only be using you. i cant believe how effortless everything was from the first day i rang you to actually arriving at the camp. Thanks and you will be hearing from me next year"
"I have been on several of your trips now to other parts of Norway but i have to say this is very special. The boats and accommodation at this camp is by far the best i have used The fishing is also brilliant and i managed to get my self a very big Halibut which i know John was very jealous of (Better luck next time John) so thank you Paul and hope you got home ok"
There are many benefits of joining a Sportquest hosted trip such as; having a one-point contact before, during and after the trip, having someone to help navigate the airports, the host has a vast amount of knowledge of the style of fishing and will help advise on recommended tackle to take if needed and having someone there to take your trophy shots so you can show all your friends and family when you return home.
Many people ask what the difference is between a hosted holiday and travelling alone. We will explain the difference between the two holidays. Many fishing holidays are based on 2 or 4 people sharing accommodation, transfers and a fishing boat, so if you drop this amount of people, there will be supplements to pay to have the same package but fewer people. By joining one of our hosted trips, you do not need to worry about finding anyone to travel with as we put the groups together, meaning you pay your share and are not hit with single angler supplements.
The simple answer is yes. These holidays are a great way of meeting like-minded anglers, and in the past, anglers have formed life-lasting friendships with fellow travellers. We arrange for the group to meet up at the departure airport and is a good way of meeting the group.
As a rule of thumb, the answer is yes. It is always possible to upgrade to have single rooms, but you need to let one of the Sportquest teams know when you book your holiday. There will normally be a supplement to pay, but normally it can be arranged.
Yes, it is possible you can even fill the hosted trip up with a group of friends. We do not restrict bookings to just single anglers on the hosted trip, and it is sometimes possible to increase the size of the hosted trip to accommodate more anglers if needed.
We have anglers from across the globe that travel with Sportquest. Please enquire with the team regarding alternative departure airports at the time of booking as we can book flights from anywhere in the world.
We are fully aware that people prefer to travel from their local airports, so all you need to do is speak to one of our team and request your local airport. We will do whatever we can to offer you your requested airport. There may be some extra cost involved but we will give you options.
