It covers an area of 22,970 square kilometres and shares borders on the north with Mexico, south and west by Guatemala and to the east by the Caribbean Sea. Belize is a saltwater anglers paradise and offers some of the best fishing in the world. The healthy populations of Bonefish, Permit and Tarpon, have been protected for over ten years, with a nationwide catch-and-release law. Belize was the first and still the only country in the Caribbean to enforce such a law, and anglers have certainly seen its benefits.
The coastline of Belize is also incredibly diverse, with an interlocking network of rivers, creeks and lagoons as well as shallow water flats. It’s home to the second-longest barrier reef globally, dotted with hundreds of low-lying islands called Cayes, which host a wide range of rich marine life.

Most of the saltwater flats in Belize are accessible via boat, and the majority of fishing will be sight fishing from the bow of our 16ft Dolphin Super Skiffs. These are custom built in the states and designed to cut through the chop and pole well in skinny water.
However, as well as boat fishing, there are some excellent wading opportunities too. The Bonefish flats start literally at the marina, and the Permit and Tarpon flats extend out as far as a 1.5-hour ride by boat.
The great thing about fishing in Belize is your guide can tailor the fishing packages to suit your preferences.
