Andros South Lodge is situated in the settlement of Kemp’s Bay on the southeastern shore of Andros Island in the Bahamas, a pristine location renowned as one of the finest destinations for Bonefishing. Known as the ‘Bonefish Capital of the World’.
The main target is Bonefish, with anglers enjoying shots at fish averaging 2-4lb alongside occasional larger trophies. Permit, another saltwater favourite, can also be targeted on the fly.
South Andros offers endless flats, creeks, and mangrove-lined channels, creating one of the most productive Bonefishing habitats anywhere in the world. It’s not just the sheer number of fish, but the expansive ocean-side flats attract bruisers from the deep offering a real shot at landing a trophy fish. Andros Island provides some of the most diverse and least travelled waters in the Bahamas.
Fishing is productive almost year-round, but peak Bonefishing runs are between March to July, and October to November, when conditions are ideal.
Fly fishing is the focus, with anglers wading shallow flats or poling from skiffs to sight-cast to cruising Bonefish.
Packages include guided fishing, skiffs, tackle hire, accommodation, lodge meals, soft drinks and local alcohol, and transfers between the airport and lodge.
