The Carp, for many years, have got caught on heavy rods meant for the Catfish, so fights have been quick, and the Carp have not stood a chance. The guides have now fine-tuned the setups for these tricky rivers Carp, and you have to look at their catch rate to see they are some of the best Carp river Guides out there. So if you are looking for a bit of winter sun or to smash your river Carp PB, this holiday will suit you.
The carp fishing Spain on our ebro carp fishing holidays is home to some of the worlds most giant River Carp due to the sheer amount of bait that goes in the river for the Cats. Each section of this river looks Carpy with deep, wide corners, shallower weedy areas, reed-lined straights and many other Carp holding areas on offer make this river a fascinating system to Carp fish.
The accommodation we use for your Ebro carp fishing holidays trip is based in the village of Caspé in Spain, giving you access to some of the most famous areas that potentially hold some very impressive Carp to enormous sizes. So far, the guides have landed Carp to 62lb, which is a big river, Carp.
The average sizes range from 25lb to 45lb, and the winter months certainly produce a better stamp of fish. This river offers a true Carp fishing adventure and is not like anywhere else you would have ever fished, forget France and other European venues, make the River Ebro in Spain your next choice when you are looking for a Carp fishing escape.
The ebro carp fishing holidays in Spain offers the anglers that grace its bank the opportunity to do battle with some of the most brutal fighting Carp you will come across. From the moment those alarms scream to just before sliding the net under them, they will pull your arm off.
These Carp have lived their whole lives doing battle with the river’s currents, escaping the hungry Catfish and other predators, which gives them a tremendous amount of strength and power; these are not your gut bellied lake Carp; these are long, lean fighting machines.
It is as essential for us as it is for you that you are fishing with the quality tackle that is man enough for the job at hand. As mentioned, these Carp fight hard. We have complete Carp setups to fish with on your ebro carp fishing holidays that have been hand-picked to cope with the fight from these River Carp, and along with quality reels and line, you will not need to bring anything with you. If you would like to see what freshwater fishing is like go to our Youtube channel
If you would like to bring along your terminal tackle, our guide will ensure that all your rigs are up to the job before casting or boating them out. Rigs need to be kept simple as any weakness, and the Carp will find it; again, your guide will make sure that all rigs are man enough. A full list of tackle can be provided ask a member of the Sportquest team for an updated list of recommended tackle.
There is always a possibility of hooking a Catfish in the river. So expect long fights with these, especially on your Carp outfits. As this river does not allow night fishing, you will be taken down to the river at first light and fish until late afternoon giving you plenty of time to locate those hungry rivers, Carp.
The guide that will be looking after you likes nothing more than Carp fishing these Rivers; when you speak to him, you will understand his passion for Carp runs through his veins. There is not much he doesn’t know about the Carp and the River. He has spent many years learning their habitats, where they move to at certain times of the year and, more importantly, how to catch them.
Your guide will be with you each day, ensuring that you have that ebro carp fishing holidays adventure you have been dreaming of. He will be there to help tie rigs, assist in putting the rods out and netting your prize fish or feel free to set up all your rigs, and he will oversee how you intend on fishing.

Hey Paul, thanks for recommending this trip. Even though we have not really done much freshwater fishing we all still had a great laugh. Pontus is a great guide and helped us loads
Wow-what a great weeks fishing. We had 9 Carp between 31lb and 52lb, 36 Catfish biggest being 145lb. That river is alive with fish, unlike our UK rivers. Awesome holiday highly recommend to any serious angler
Thanks for the tips Paul those little hook baits done very well for the Carp. We had them to 39lb and you were not wrong about how hard they pull
Even though we went for the Catfish the Carp were an excellent distraction and something that we all have agreed we would go back to target. Great holiday and thanks Pontus
Hi Paul, thanks for organising this holiday. my grandson loved it. He struggled a little with the Cats but as soon as we started Carp fishing he loved reeling them in. The guide over there is great so please pass on my thanks
All the best Barry
Thanks for a great holiday
After the confusion of where to meet our transfer guy, we soon got to the hotel and checked in. Not really much to do in town but we were exhausted from the journey. All in all a great holiday, the fishing was a little slow until we decided to fish just for the Carp. My mate had a 46lb common smashing his PB by over 20lb
Hello Sportquest. Thanks for helping me organise this surprise holiday for my husband and me. We had a great time and he caught Catfish up to 180lb and a 48lb Carp. I was more than happy to sit with a good book and watch him. Thanks for a great holiday
Was disappointed with the fishing, the river was very high and lots of rubbish floating past. Shame really as we had looked for to it for such a long time.
Thanks for a great holiday
Had a fantastic trip, harsh conditions being may, but so worth it.
The guide stays with you all day, baits up in the boat, then returns to set rods,I caught a 125lb Cat, Jimmy 140lbs and Eddie 144lb Cat, also caught a 32lb Carp, plus plenty more between 50lb and 100lb.
Our guide Pontas was a fantastic lovely guy. Anything we needed, he went that further mile to make our dream holiday unforgettable. Came home 3 happy anglers!
Thank you,
Sportsquest
