This Sportquest Holidays exclusive solo week has been carefully designed for single anglers seeking an exciting bluewater fishing adventure in the famous Bahia Solano region of Colombia. Unlike many overseas fishing holidays, where you may need to travel with a friend or organise a group of anglers to make a trip viable and cost-effective, this special departure allows solo anglers to join a group of like-minded customers, travelling and fishing together.
The package price is based on sharing a twin room with another angler from the group, helping keep costs lower than arranging a private trip independently. For those who prefer their own room, single-occupancy accommodation may be available at an additional cost, subject to availability.
Anigua Beach House is where luxury meets adventure, offering stylish beachfront living alongside some of the richest saltwater fishing in the region. Perched directly on the sand with sweeping views of turquoise water, it places anglers within easy reach of both the inshore and offshore grounds, where variety and trophy potential define each day on the water.
Offshore, the destination offers Blue and Black Marlin, Sailfish, Dorado, Tuna, and Wahoo, to mention just a few. Whilst inshore, it provides the chance to catch Tarpon, Snook, Jack Crevalle, Barracuda, and Snapper. Whether casting poppers, trolling spreads, or teasing fish up for the fly, it’s a high-octane saltwater programme.
Back at the house, comfort is key. Spacious en-suite bedrooms, open-plan living, a pool, and direct beach access create a relaxed atmosphere, while gourmet dining and oceanfront cocktails elevate the experience. For non-anglers, snorkelling, paddleboarding, and cultural excursions offer plenty to explore. Anigua Beach House delivers the complete package: privacy, comfort, and serious sport in a spectacular Pacific setting.

The fishing calendar at Anigua Beach House is split into two action-packed seasons, each offering a different kind of thrill. From March to June, the inshore season brings explosive lighter-tackle action driven by Sardine migrations, while the offshore season from September to January delivers deep-sea battles with some of the Pacific’s most iconic pelagic species.
This is peak time for fast-paced, visual fishing close to the coast. Sardine migrations attract a variety of hard-hitting predators, including Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Tarpon, and Amberjack. Pacific Sailfish and Yellowfin Tuna also make inshore appearances, especially during feeding frenzies. Whether you’re popping, jigging, or fly fishing, this season offers exciting, high-volume days in calm, warm conditions, perfect for newcomers and seasoned saltwater anglers alike.
For anglers chasing big game, this is the time to be here. The bluewater season brings powerful runs and memorable encounters with Marlin, Dorado, Yellowfin Tuna, and Sailfish. Just a short run from shore, the deep waters of Bahia Solano produce consistent offshore action, with opportunities for multiple hookups in a day. Trolling, live baiting, and topwater techniques are all effective.
Note: We have solo-traveller trips available during the peak weeks of both the inshore and offshore seasons, depending on your preferred target species.

With only eight anglers allowed to fish the thousands of kilometres of waters in and around Zapata each week, many area's have never seen an angler. From a saltwater fly fishing perspective, the destination is in its infancy and is remarkable and a real jewel in Cuba's ecological crown.

Cayo Paredón is the hottest, newest destination in the portfolio of our partners Fly Fishing the Run. Located in the province of Camaguey, the easternmost, most significant and flattest region in the centre of Cuba, it's a saltwater fly fishing paradise, home to all the 'Grand Slam' species.
