Å, Lofoten Islands Fishing Report 31st May 2024

Incredibly good week for all the boat teams that have come up to the camp here on Å. We’ve had nice weather most days with the sea as calm as a mirror!

Fishing has been great too. Already on the first day, Alex, who was out with Biersteker and co, could announce on the radio that a larger halibut has been landed at only 12m depth! The fish measured a whopping 214cm!

In the Guide Boat led by Ronny, they’ve also had great success throughout the week. Many nice cod with an incredibly good average weight. Marcus, who has been steering the guide boat most of the week, has also had amazingly good halibut fishing. With a top fish at 182cm.

And that’s not all, it seems the pollock fishing has also picked up. Vidar in boat 4 has tested the evening fishing for pollock and has reported good results every day with a top fish weighing 12-13kg.

We don’t stop there. Even a 2m spotted Halibut was caught by Daniel in boat 6.

Then we rounded off the whole week with Stig Ludvigsen coming up for a visit during the day. Of course, he couldn’t stay away from the big fish and managed to hook a halibut at 167cm!

Now we’re all pumped up for the upcoming week! Until then!
