Sette Cama is one of Africa’s last great saltwater frontiers, a wild fishery on Gabon’s untouched Atlantic coast that delivers power, size and intensity in equal measure. For anglers who like extreme action, it is a holiday that blends raw wilderness with some of the hardest-hitting fishing on earth.
Here, the surf and estuary hold extraordinary predators. Whitefin Jack, African Threadfin, Senegal Kob, Cubera Snapper and Guinean Barracuda all patrol these waters, many exceeding 50kg. Tarpon ambush with violent strikes, tearing through bait and testing stamina with aerial runs. Whether casting from the surf, drifting the estuary or working poppers into boiling waves, every encounter is full contact.
Fishing is guided by seasoned locals who know the tides, terrain and timing of this unique coastline. Each session is built around conditions, ensuring anglers are in the right water with the right approach, whether on lures, bait or flies when the surf allows.
Accommodation is in twin-room chalets set on the edge of Loango National Park, each with private decking, hot showers and views across pristine wilderness. It is a setting where elephants walk the beach, buffalo graze the edge and the sunsets frame the horizon in colour. Meals are included throughout, with buffet breakfasts, beachside lunches and freshly prepared evening dinners featuring local fish, meats and vegetarian options.
For anglers who like wild Africa, big predators and the thrill of savage strikes, Sette Cama offers a holiday that balances extreme fishing with the atmosphere of one of the world’s most remote coastlines.

"What an experience. Didnt really know what to expect at first but we were in really good hands. Cant believe they have produced an environment like they have, top marks to the team at the camp. I managed a huge Tarpon on my last day"
"Flights were a pain and takes a long time to get there however we soon forgot about the journey once at the stunning camp. wow, what a location the guys there have done a great job. Now the fishing - I didn't realise how fast paced it would be and next time I will be more prepared and a visit to the gym is essential. Running up and down the beach chasing fish is hard work but I enjoyed every minute. Thanks for your hard work"
"Hi Paul thanks for helping to organise this trip. we were very surprised how well we were looked after, the food at the camp was amazing and the fishing was a little slow at the start of the week but picked up towards the end. I managed to get my Cubera snapper. Thanks and speak soon"
"What an experience and made me realise how unfit I am. Lots of walking and sometimes running perhaps a slightly less strenuous trip next time "
"The fishing was very difficult. the winds during the week never died down making casting very difficult especially when faced with big waves. The guides took us to different areas that was a little easier however the fishing was not as good as expected. Perhaps next time we should book further in advance so we can pick better times"
"I didnt realise how remote this place was. at night time you couldn't hear a thing apart from the local frogs and some weird noises from the surrounding scrub. The guides and staff at the camp are amazing and very knowledgable.
Must take some more lures next time as lost a few and another angler was ever so kind and lent me some of his. Thanks for a memorable trip"
"my little tip is to make sure you take a fight belt as I came home with huge bruises all round my groin area...... these fish fight hard. The lure I took were a little too small but managed with what I had. More info on sizes would be better"
"Hi Peter, wow you were right its an amazing trip. we caught lots of different species including a huge shark which took both of us to land. the fight went on for over and hour. I have sent you some pictures hopefully you can use them. You are going to have to work hard to beat that trip but we are sure you will have a go.
