Another great week has come to an end out at Pluma lodge, this week saw some amazing fish landed with the biggest at 23lbs.
Pluma Lodge week 12
This week we had nine American anglers hosted by Greg: Andrew, Jonathan, Chuck, Andy, Dave, Brian, Greg J., and Chris. The weather was great the entire week, with some rain on Thursday night that did not affect the river level or colour. We experienced very low water in every section, making more careful approaches necessary.
All the beats produced at least one fish over 20 lbs., with the lower Sécure giving us two over 20. Brian caught the week’s largest fish (roughly 23 lbs.) in the main Pluma. The week’s adventures were not limited only to the fish; Dave and Jonathan were walking back home in the upper Pluma the very last afternoon and got to see the jungle’s best-kept secret when they spotted a Jaguar on the opposite bank.
