AGUA-NEGRA LODGE
The second week of the season gave us the chance to fish with four friends from Montana: Jo, Josh, Aron, and Jeff.
At the beginning of the week, we had a great arrival of Sábalo and Minnows which gave us the chance to fish very good Dorados, four large Pacú, and several Yatoranas following the migration and taking advantage of the Dorados feeding.
We were also able to do two camps in the Agua Negra, where the fishing opportunities were very good. There we also managed to catch some very good Dorado and even more Pacú.
SECURE LODGE
Secure Lodge opened the doors to a new 2024 season, receiving a hosted group of seven European anglers.
The week started off with cold water and low air temperature due to a cold front. The fish felt it, slowing down and staying in the deepest areas. Throughout the week conditions improved and the Dorado became more active, in both the upper and lower sections. Maniquicito Creek also gave us multiple chances with big Dorado, some of them coming up to the surface to take top water flies.
Anglers enjoyed experiening the camp waters, landing good sized Dorado and having lot of action. The biggest fish of the week was an 18-pound Dorado landed by Keyvan Pirouz.
