The eighth annual white water shootout at Zancudo Lodge, Costa Rica, is officially in the books, and the fishing action was non-stop.
For the eighth consecutive year, White Water Marine joined us at The Zancudo Lodge, Costa Rica for a friendly inshore/offshore fishing tournament. Over the course of three days, the fish gods were smiling as the tuna bite and marlin action were both above average for this time of the year. Team “Sleepy Sloth” were no slouches as they took home the bragging rights this year with a 180lb tuna that took them over the top in points. Congratulations!
Day 2 boats brought in big tuna as well as numerous dorado and sailfish. Variety also made this a fun event with lots of sailfish, blue marlin, dorado and some grouper all making a showing. Inshore, roosterfish reigned along with some big, back bending jacks (just to make sure the anglers were awake).
