The Atlantic Salmon fishing season in Norway is now underway, and below are the catch report stats for week 24 of the year at some of the key rivers and lodges we offer. We have already seen some good numbers and excellent average sizes of fish and have our fingers crossed for a bumper year.

THE GAULA RIVER
Total number of recorded fish so far this year:403
Total number of Salmon landed in week 24: 117
Biggest fish of the season so far: 16.5kg (Gyllsaga Laksefiske)
The average size of the fish in week 24: 7.7kg
So far this season, the biggest Salmon landed from the Gaula has included three fish of over 16kg and two over 15kg.
WINSNES LODGE
Total number of recorded fish so far this year: 8
Total number of Salmon landed in week 24: 0
Biggest fish of the season so far: 12.7kg

THE NAMSEN RIVER
Total number of Salmon recorded so far this year: 434
Total number of Salmon landed in week 24: 162
Biggest Salmon of the season so far: 21kg (Nedre fiskumfoss)
The average size of the Salmon in week 24: 4.1kg
So far this season, the biggest Salmon landed from the Namsen has included one fish of 21kg, one over 18kg, three over 15kg.
NAMSENTUNET LODGE

Biggest Salmon of the season so far: 11kg

The average size of the Salmon in week 24: 5.3kg
So far this season, the biggest Salmon landed from the Verdalselva has included one fish of over 13kg, two over 10kg and two over 7kg.
