Weather Conditions
This week saw mostly sunny skies and steady heat, with temperatures ranging from 26°C to 40°C (79°F to 104°F). Classic Amazon weather—hot and relentless, setting the stage for some epic battles on the water.
River Conditions
As the water level dropped, the river began to reveal its secrets.

Fishing Summary
We welcomed a diverse crew this week, with anglers coming in from all corners of the globe. As soon as the first line hit the water, it was game on. The camaraderie was electric—each night, stories flowed as fast as the river, recounting the battles won, the ones that got away, and everything in between.
With our expert guides leading the charge, everyone got in on the action. Big fish, bigger fights, and memories that will last a lifetime. By the end of the week, the anglers left with smiles, sore arms, and a few new stories to share back home.

Highlight of the Week
Michael: 34 Years in the Making
Back in 1990, Michael first came to the Amazon with one goal: land a peacock bass on the fly. It didn’t happen. Thirty-four years later, he’s back—and this time, he wasn’t leaving without a win.
On his first try, a monster fish spit the hook—a gut punch, but not enough to stop him. A little while later, the guides spotted another giant, and this time, Michael made it count. After an intense fight, he held up his first-ever peacock bass, weighing in at over 20 pounds. But the story didn’t end there. On his final day, he hooked another beast—another 20-pounder. Two trophy lifetime fish in one week after three decades of waiting. That’s what Rio Marié dreams are made of.
Looking Ahead
The water keeps dropping, and with it comes the promise of more big fish and bigger stories. As we push deeper into the season, the excitement is building—this river has plenty more to give. Stay tuned for what’s next.
