Anglers had a great week with low wind and sunny skies, enjoying productive time on the flats. Our guests caught a couple of juvenile tarpon ranging from 20 to 80 pounds and had many shots at permit, with four being landed. We are also excited to report one grand slam this week. Other species, anglers rounded out the week landing several jacks, snapper, big barracuda, and two cobias.
Grandslam – 1 Grandslam were landed this past week
Bonefish – 78 Bonefish were landed
Permit – 4 Permits were landed
Tarpon – 6 Tarpon were landed.
Other Species – 1 Snook were landed
Bonefish Flies – Christmas Island Specials in gold, pearl, and pink sizes 4 & 6, and Crazy Charlies in pink and orange.
Permit Flies – Mantis shrimp, rag head crabs, and Flexo crabs
