Great fishing continues! We just had another outstanding week of Salmon fishing, and our lodges are full of happy anglers. We were getting a little spoiled with all the fantastic fishing and the weather since opening day.
Water conditions are holding up very well, with the Bonaventure, Petite Cascapedia and Grand Cascapedia in great condition, especially for this time of the season. The weatherman shows a bit a rain early next week, we should see a bump in the water levels on the three rivers.
Our Salmon have been taking all kinds of flies this week. Sizes 6, 8 and 10 were the most popular depending on the day and the river levels. The most popular wet flies have been the Stone Ghost & the Picasse. As for dry flies, light brown, light blue, and green patterns have been successful.
