As we head towards October, the fishing at Palmas De Cortez has been excellent as always, with the Tuna bite red hot and with Marlin and Sailfish aplenty, to all the boats.
Excellent Mixed Fishing!
The fishing here at East Cape has been very steady and productive for the last few weeks. All the fleet has enjoyed a fantastic Tuna bite, with mostly football sized fish to around 70lb. However, Alberto Sanchez, a local in this area, landed a monster of over 200lb on a private boat. As we head towards October, that is a sign of good things to come, as usually around this time of year, we get a nice run of fish to over 100lb.
You never know with the fishing here at East Cape, one moment you can be battling small Tuna on a baitcasting set-up, the next you can get hammered over the rails with a fish of 200lb plus. So it always pays to be well prepared for every situation.
There have been many Billfish in the area, with a good mixture of Sailfish and Striped and Blue Marlin.
As always, a few Roosterfish have been landed along with the usual Dorado, Wahoo and Pargo.
October is one of the best months here in the East Cape, so make your plans to join us for a fishing holiday of a lifetime.
