The Atlantic Salmon fishing season in Norway is well underway, and below are the catch report stats for week 24 of the year at some of the key rivers and lodges we offer. We have already seen some good numbers and excellent average sizes of fish and have our fingers crossed for a bumper year.

The Gaula River
Total number of Salmon recorded so far this year: 866
Total number of Salmon landed in week 24: 251
Biggest Salmon of the season so far: 22kg (Horgøien)
The average size of the Salmon in week 24: 7.2kg
So far this season, the biggest Salmon landed from the Gaula has included one fish of over 22kg, one of 18.5kg, two over 17kg, one over 16kg and four over 15kg.
Winsnes Lodge
Total number of Salmon recorded so far this year: 9
Total number of Salmon landed in week 24: 5
Biggest Salmon of the season so far: 10kg

The Namsen River
Total number of Salmon recorded so far this year: 779
Total number of Salmon landed in week 24: 315
Biggest Salmon of the season so far: 20kg (Krukårn)
The average size of the Salmon in week 24: 5.9kg
So far this season, the biggest Salmon landed from the Namsen has included one fish of over 20kg, two over 19kg, four over 18kg and two over 16kg.
Namsentunet Lodge

Biggest Salmon of the season so far: 14.5kg
