Well, what can we say apart from being gutted that we are not out there? Our annual Hosted Halibut was supposed to depart today with 8 super keen anglers….. Just goes to show that we always time our hosted trips at the correct times. Take a look at these beasts caught today from Å on the Lofoten Islands:
Huge Halibut Just Landed Fishing Report
Yes, what can one say? Our Danish guests that you could read in the latest news have had an incredibly good fishing! As you know, they landed a dream fish earlier this week at 212 cm. Tuesday was blown out and Wednesday was the last fishing day for the gang. What an end it was!
The weather was pretty tough even on Wednesday, but both boats fought all day. When later in the evening came to the bridge we were greeted by 5 big smiles. Troels who earlier this week dropped a 2-meter Halibut at the edge of the boat had taken revenge! 218 cm and the joy of this fish and the relief after the dropped one other day was great!
The other person down on the bridge who was just shaking his head with a smile on his lips was Christian. He who earlier this week has taken a new pb of 212 cm has cut with another completely sick fish of 223 cm!
I don’t really know what else to say about fishing here. Oh right now … It’s totally sick! The top 5 for the gang is 176, 196, 212, 218 and 223 cm!

Thanks André & Alex for the reports this week and all I can say is gutted I can’t be there. Sounds like the fishing is on fire. Figures like the above we only get to see from this destination. It truly is the best destination for the chance of a huge Halibut.
