Suindá Lodge Fishing Report 7th February 2025

The river conditions have been changing quickly these past two weeks, and the fish needed time to adjust. The weather was extremely hot, with only one storm giving us a short break before the heat and clear skies returned.

Sandbars were less productive than in previous weeks, but they still offered some good opportunities. In contrast, the rocks fished very well during the third week, and Pacú activity picked up near the fruit trees as they started to drop.

The biggest catch of these two weeks came from Matt from South Africa, who landed a 27-pound Dorado—his very first! What a way to start his Suindá experience. Matt also had a special moment sight-casting to Pacú with a fruit fly, one of his personal highlights of the trip.

We also had some great catches from Louis and Mark—yes, Mark did it again! Both anglers landed several large Dorado, especially while fishing the sandbars with poppers and streamers.

The conditions kept us on our toes, but the fishing was rewarding. We’re looking forward to seeing what February brings.

Tight lines,

Fabian Anastasio – Fishing Manager
