This week saw an increase in winds but that didn’t stop the guests from landing some fantastic fish including good Halibut, Cod and Coalfish in the boat!
Terminator Jr takes over Å!
This week we have basically had a full camp here on Å. Really fun. However, the weather has been tough. Strong north winds have made fishing sluggish but our guests have struggled. In the guide boat we have had our dear regulars Vidar and Torild. Always nice when they arrive. And of course they caught some nice fish. Every day we have had a bunch of Halibut in the boat. Among other things, these have been nice fish of 125cm and 130 cm.
But someone who really dominated and cleaned the house here at the camp is Anton aka Terminator Jr. Jakob who was here last week flew home to Denmark picked up his son and was back on Å for 24 hours. They have been out and about, fishing for Halibut when the currents were good and during the current reversals, they have also done some fishing for large summer Cod. Anton’s top fish this week are Halibut at 150, 147, 124. Cod at 21kg, 17kg and a total of 14 pieces over 10kg and Coalfish at 13kg. In short, he has totally dominated. Just lift the hat for the big fisherman. If anyone is wondering, 12-year-old Anton has fought all the fish completely on his own.
Alex who had family visiting was out for a short trip and they also managed to catch some nice Halibut. Father Håkan was generous this time and let his son catch the biggest fish while he was content with a Halibut in perfect food size.
The last two days promise slightly better weather and anything can happen. The coming week looks really nice.
