Our solo traveller trips to the Andaman Islands have always proven incredibly popular, providing travelling rods with the chance to sample some of the best bluewater popper and jig fishing found anywhere in the world. The first groups of anglers from our sold-out trips this year have just returned, and to say they had a great week would be an understatement.
Throughout the first week of fishing, our WhatsApp group with our Andaman Islands head guide Akshay, has been alive with activity, and the fishing pictures have been coming in thick and fast. On a range of poppers and jigs, our group has landed good numbers of Giant Trevally, Bluefin Trevally, Dogtooth Tuna and various other hard-fighting species.
