We have just received this report in from the camp of Å and the past week of customers has ended very well with some great fish being caught. Why not have a read of this report and see just how great the fishing at Å can really be.
The end of last week offered a really good fishing for Halibut. In the guide boat we hunted large Halibut and landed many fine fish around the metre and finished Tuesday with a top of 125 cm (58lb est). Our good guests from Kristinehamn fished very well all week and the reports from boat 2 hailed on the radio during the week.
Stefan and his gang in boat 8 got a taste of Halibut during Sunday’s long trip, and they couldn’t hide the joy of Stefan when he came in on Monday and had landed his first Halibut, fishing pleasure at a very high level.
The big Coalfish are in place now and given us a few good fights. Right now they are a little deeper and we are speed jigging for them but it’s probably not far away before we can take them on poppers!
This week, started a little sad with hard wind during the day, which prevented us from coming out during the day. Later in the evening the winds calmed down and we could get out on the first fishing pass of the week. Report about it coming in the next news but yet another big Halibut has landed on Å!
Tight lines!
