Over the last week or so, fishing has been mixed for us. Some days, we have been constrained as to where we can fish, and on the last day, it was fantastically nice weather on Lofoten.
There has been some excellent fishing for some of the groups in recent days. They have had good fishing with several nice Plaice, the top fish being a specimen of 54 cm and 1.7kg in weight. Some more Plaice over the kilo were also landed that day.
The Cod continues to bite for us on Lofoten, and over the last few days, it has been very nice fishing for the guests. A couple of 10kg fish have been landed, and just yesterday, some 15kg fish were also landed. It was a good end to the week with nice weather and some rod-bending action.
It is finally April 1st, and we can now fish for Halibut. Some of the boats managed to hook up with some fish, but unfortunately, the Halibut won. However, one small fish did make an appearance. We are loading up for next week, which will be full speed out at sea!
