At our Norwegian sea fishing destination on the famous island of Soroya, we offer an array of boats to suit different groups’ sizes and budgets. We have five vessels available, from a standard 19ft aluminium craft to a luxury 37ft model, with a heated cabin. Hopefully, this blog will help you pick the perfect boat for your trip.
KVÆRNØ, 19 FT
The Kværnø, 19ft models, are solid and safe aluminium boats. They feature a 50 HP four-stroke engine and come equipped with sonar, GPS and life jackets. They can comfortably fish three to four anglers and are the perfect vessel for those on a budget.
KVÆRNØ, 22 FT
The Kværnø, 22ft models, are a larger version of the 19ft standards; they are more spacious, feature 115 HP engines, and come equipped with sonar, GPS and life jackets. They can comfortably fish three to four anglers and are the perfect vessel for those looking for a bit more space.
KAASBØLL 660
The Kaasbøll 660SC is a beautiful, extra wide, stable 22ft vessel with trusty Yamaha F150DXB engines. It has extra space on deck and is an ideal vessel for fishing the Norwegian waters around the island of Soroya.
The boat is equipped with a Garmin UHD, GPSmap 1222XSV with map, Garmin GT56- UHD swings and an Anti-sink system. It has a 140-litre fuel tank, hydraulic steering, a 660 Fischer console with tempered glass, an aluminium roof and thirteen-rod holders distributed around.
They can comfortably fish three to four anglers and are the perfect vessel for those looking for a bit more luxury and technology.
KAASBØLL 760
The Kaasbøll 760HT is a 25ft powerful aluminium boat with a hardtop centre-consol and fitted with a trusty Yamaha F150DETX engine. Its modern, sporty design is exceptionally easy on the eye, and like the 660 models, its slim, deep V-bottom is perfect for negotiating even the roughest of conditions.
Again, like with the 660, the boat is equipped with two Garmin echoMAP 92s and the GT51-M transducer, meaning it’s possible to use regular sonar and side scanners and fish depths of 300 to 400 metres. It also features Zipwake.
One nice feature about all the Kaasbøll boats, and something noticeable compared to the older models, is the sound reduction. They are close to silent, even in big and narrow waves.
They can comfortably accommodate four anglers and are the perfect vessel for those looking for more space, protection from the weather, luxury and technology.
APEX Guide Boat
The Apex boat is the camp’s all-singing, all-dancing guide boat and is only available on request. It features a 37ft hull and two Yamaha 425 XTOs engines with 850 HP capacity, meaning the vessel is an absolute dream to use to navigate the waters around the island. In addition to the engines, the ship also features the new Yamaha Helm Master, a dream when docking and fishing.
As you’d expect, no expense has been spared with the electronics either, as it features a triple installation with 8416xsv GPSmap chart plotters in the dash, and one 10-inch screen in the front, along with B175HW transducers and L + Panoptix Livescope. A small cabin with a toilet, fridge, and heating, adds a real touch of luxury.
The guide boat is truly a ‘one of a kind’ and can accommodate larger group sizes, fully guided by one of the camp’s professional guides.
