Nappstraumen, Fishing Report 10th April 2024

This week has offered some fantastic fishing on a mirror-like sea in Lofoten. At the beginning of the week, the weather was amazing, so many of the boats headed north, which turned out to be a good idea because the fishing was great with a lot of fish between 8-10 kg, including some top fish around 15 kg and upwards.

The last few days, the boats have been spread out; some continued with the Cod, and some others battled for Halibut. The Cod fishing was stable for most boats, but they had to be ready to drive around and search. But with good patience and a bit of effort, it pays off.

There is a group that battled in the wind and rain to successfully catch the halibut. They tested their patience with a nice result in the end. They managed to land a fine halibut of 155 cm and one at 130 centimeters, they also caught some smaller ones during those days.

There has also been a family of orcas that showed up for several boats now on the last day at sea. It was a great end to the week, now we hope that this week starts as well as the last one ended.

Greetings // Calle & Kristian
