The last week at our fantastic Nappstarumen comes to a close, in the report below, our fantastic customers had a great week despite the usual unpredictable Norwegian weather.
Nappstraumen Fishing Report – 25/10/2021
The last regular week is over in Nappstraumen. This week has offered some tough weather for our last guests; unfortunately, it has been windy and snowing quite a lot, making fishing a bit more difficult. There is now snow on the mountains, and it is starting to move into winter up here on Lofoten, but this one really brings Nappstraumen’s weather-protected fishing spots to their rightful place. Despite tough weather, Nappstraumen offers several fishing spots that can be fished, even if the wind is blowing, for both Halibut and Plaice.
Most days, we have been fishing inside Nappstraumen and it can offer some fantastic fishing with very clear chopping periods. The water temperature has dropped significantly, which means that the area is starting to fill up considerably with Halibut. The large fish have unfortunately not shown up, but there has been some Halibut in a nice food size around 80 cm for our guests. Plaice fishing has periodically been very successful despite the tough conditions. Some Cod around 10 kg were also caught during the fishing for Halibut.
As I said, the regular season is over for us in Nappstraumen, but we are expecting another group in November who will fish for a few days. The 2021 season has been fantastic in many ways, and several amazing fish have emerged and new memories have been created for many of our guests who have visited us here on Lofoten. We are already looking forward to the next season and are blessed with a packed season with new fishing memories and experiences for our future guests.
With Kind Regards //
